What You Should Expect
When your HomeBodies therapist arrives for your scheduled appointment it will take up to 10 - 15 few minutes to set up the massage table and massage oil/cream for your treatment and for you to complete a brief medical history so the therapist is able to determine if you have any medical conditions past or present and assess any risk to your health and well-being. So please make sure you have scheduled enough time prior to your appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork and allow use of the facilities and/or changing. Please note that that if this is your first appoinment with us, it may take up to 10 additional minutes to comlete the intake process. Also please make sure the space you provide You will also be asked if you would any relaxation music during your treatment.
Your therapist will discuss your massage treatment with you so that you will have a clear understanding of what the treatment will involve.
You will be asked to remove any watches, necklaces, bracelets or dangling earrings and undress to your level of comfort In most cases this means down to your underwear. The therapist will step out of the room while you undress. You will lie face up/down on the massage table with two sheets on it and position yourself between the two sheets, covering your body with the top sheet. Your comfort is very important to us and having defined boundaries between client and therapist ensures the highest level of professionalism. The therapist will leave the room to give you privacy while you get ready for the treatment.
Your service will begin once you are lying comfortably on the table. During the massage your therapist will make sure your body is draped, to protect your privacy and maintain your body heat. Your therapist will ask for your feedback on the amount of pressure you require and will increase or decrease the pressure at any time during the massage treatment.
Once your treatment is complete your therapist will quietly let you know the massage has ended and leave the room to allow you to gradually get up from the table and redress. It is important that you take your time and not rush as you may feel a bit light headed after your massage). It is best to drink lots of water after your massage to flush out toxins and speed their removal from the body.
Wrapping up and Payment
It will take a few minutes for your therapist to pack up and finalize your payment. If you wish to expedite this process, please consider paying for your service in advance.
